The Mathematics Department held a Shopping Day for Primary Two students on 26 March. Students took on the roles of cashiers and customers and applied addition and subtraction skills in simulated buying and selling activities. Through these authentic tasks, they practised using money and giving change.
The role-play activities also helped develop students’ logical thinking and problem-solving skills. By connecting Mathematics with everyday life, the activity made learning more engaging, meaningful and enjoyable.
