From July 9 to 11, 2025, Principal Leung led Director Miss Tsang, teachers Miss Ngau, Miss Lok, Miss Feng and 22 students to Guangzhou for a three-day exchange activity.
On the first day, we visited the new GuangDong Provincial Museum, where the exhibits covered the history, culture, and art of Guangdong, providing us with a deeper understanding of the history of the Pearl River Delta. We thank our partner school, Chao Tian Primary School, for arranging a visit to the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where students experienced TCM practices. They personally felt the profoundness of TCM culture and participated in a hand-clapping exercise and moxa stick making, creating a lively atmosphere.
On the second day, students visited the New Cultural Center, the Bai'e Tan Greater Bay Area Art Center, and the Xiguan Lychee Bay Stream, as well as toured the Shamian architecture group. The art center blends traditional culture with modern technology, showcasing rich and diverse exhibits that opened students' eyes. We also visited the exhibition hall of Guangzhou's intangible cultural heritage protection center, where we admired representative intangible cultural heritage such as Cantonese embroidery, Yao ethnic long drum dance, and Chaozhou puppet show. The students immersed themselves in the artistic and historical atmosphere, enhancing their appreciation and cultural literacy.
On the final day, we visited the solemn Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to pay tribute to the great revolutionary pioneer, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. His statue embodies the great efforts he made for the country's independence and national rejuvenation. Later, at the Guangdong Science Center, students participated in multiple interactive exhibitions, tried virtual reality experiences, conducted scientific experiments, and discussed the impact of technology on future life.
This exchange activity not only deepened the teachers' and students' understanding of TCM culture and Guangzhou's historical culture but also broadened the students' horizons and sparked their interest in technology, art, and cultural preservation. Thanks to all the teachers and students for their enthusiastic participation, resulting in a rich and meaningful experience.
